Borkgren spent 10 years as a photographer in Central America.   She's currently in Iraq covering the war.   She's been published in magazines and newspapers in Europe and U.S.A. such as: Save the Children, Sweden, People Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News and others.
